Jean H. Bailey

Jean H. Bailey, 97, of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 20, 2026.

Jean was born on February 6, 1929, in South Bend, Indiana, a daughter of the late John and Sarah Keirns.

She was a graduate of North Side High School, Class of 1947. Jean was employed with Magnavox and later with Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn before retiring.

Jean enjoyed attending country music concerts, going on cruises, fishing with her husband at Indiana Springs Campground, gardening, flowers, and caring for animals. Above all else, she cherished time spent with her family, who meant the world to her.

She is survived by her daughters, Coleen (Mike) King of Garrett and Nancy (Dennis) Husted of Auburn; 14 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and 30 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Estle D. Bailey; her parents; daughters, Janice (Gary) Worman and Lou Ann Stahlhut; sisters, Irene Botz, Pauline Grey, Betty Koithan, Margaret Height, and Velma Amburgey; and granddaughter, Denise Worman.

Visitation for Jean will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, from 2–4 p.m. and 6–8 p.m. at Pinnington Funeral & Cremation Services, 502 N. Main Street, Auburn.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2026, with visitation one hour prior from 9:00–10:00 a.m., also at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn.
